While Alex was off from duty on the bridge since he didn’t have to be back on duty till the next day. Alex thought about the conversation that him and the doctor had the other day and smiled. He than went ahead and started to set up his dinner table that is in his quarters as he smiled, he set up some candle lit candles. Got some dinner on the table that looked good. Potatoes, corn, other vegetables and chicken with some other good foods. While standing there, he was just chilling.

Devin had fretted about what to wear for longer than she had intended and finally settled on a simple black blouse with cherry blossom flower petal motif on it and black slacks. Her hair was pulled back into a loose braid that hung down to her hips. She brought a plate of butter cookies. She rang the chime on Alex’s quarters and hoped she hadn’t kept him waiting too long.

He hears the chime go off and then walks up to the door to open up. “Hello Devin. Come on in.” He had said with a smile welcoming her into his quarters.

Devin smiled up at him as she walked in with his invitation. “Thank you for having me. I brought some butter cookies for dessert if that’s okay?” she said softly offering him the plate of cookies. She added lightly, “I hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long?” It was silly to worry about what to wear but there were things even she still fussed over.

“Butter Cookies. They actually sound really good actually I’ve had some growing up with my parents actually so those are perfect. Now as of keeping me waiting you have not actually. Your on time Devin. So don’t worry about a thing.” He said with a smile.

Devin smiled up at him. “Well that’s a relief. Thank you for the invitation to dinner.” She let him take the plate of butter cookies so he could place it where he wanted.
