I felt like ages since he had stepped foot on a proper starship, though it had only been a couple of months. The Frontier Day attack on Starfleet by the Changeling and the Borg, and his resulting assimilation, had done weird things with his perception of time. Ensign Buddy Cullum had no memory of the events, or how he became one of only a handful of others to survive the destruction of the USS Galatea. Or maybe he just wouldn’t remember. Either way he grateful for the new ship and the distraction.

The doors to Sickbay whooshed open and Ensign Cullum entered the area looking for the nearest medical personnel.
