Hayley sat at an open workstation in Sickbay 1. She had briefly considered working in her office, but she wanted her staff and crew members to know she was available to them if needed. Currently she was checking her records to see which of the crew were due or perhaps even overdue for their routine medical assessments.

Around her in Sickbay all appeared to be business as usual. Several medical technicians were checking and restocking inventory as needed. NE Nurse Ellen was giving a tour to a group of school children, describing the duties of the various medical staff members and the functions of some of the equipment they passed by.

Hayley looked up and smiled as the youngsters passed by, enjoying their enthusiasm and curiosity as they peppered the Nurse with questions that ranged all the way from ridiculous to insightful.
