Hayley stepped out of the Transporter room and into one of the main corridors of the Ark Angel. It was almost a relief to be aboard again. It was not that she regretted the last three years of training, it was just that planet side never really felt like home to her. The familiar lines of the ship’s construction were almost soothing to her, which was nice, since most of the current senior staff were going to be as new to her as she was to them and she was feeling just a little apprehensive about it. “Oh well,” she thought to herself, “At least I know my way around.”

She continued on to the XO’s office stopping outside the door to straighten her uniform and tuck a runaway lock of hair behind her ear before pressing the chime to announce her arrival. As she waited for a response her thoughts lingered on the last three years at Starfleet Medical.

“Come.” She called as she looked up as the door whooshed open to show the CMO standing there.
