After speaking with the Commodore, Ciaran knew he needed to get a medical so after he left the Commodore’s ready room, he proceeded to the Medical Bay. He walked and it was not that busy. He did notice a few faces he did not recognize but he looked around. He found an empty bio bed. He walked over to it and took a seat. He did not want to interrupt anyone. He waited to see who came over to talk to him.

Ensign Buckingham looked up from his work and notice the new XO sitting waiting. He Calmly walked over to him and smiled.
“I’m Sorry, I hope you haven’t been waiting long. What seems to be the trouble, Sir?” He said warmly.

Ciaran responded, “I have not been waiting long. Thank you for asking. I am just here for my medical evaluation. I just recently arrived on the ship and need to get this completed in order to start my duties. I feel great and nothing seems to be bother me right now. I hope you have not been too busy since the last mission was completed.” Ciaran knew this was standard procedure so wanted to give the doctor enough data to complete this quickly.

“Of course” Buckingham nodded politely as he withdrew his Tricorder from his Lab Coat pocket, opened it up and began running a scan.

OCC: The scan isn’t going to find anything but maybe some scar tissue in his from where it was broken.

IC: “So, Where do you join us from, Lieutenant Commander?” Buckingham asked as the Scan progressed.

Ciaran looked at the Ensign and said, “Commander is fine. I was on the USS Memorial as the XO for a short period of time. So I am coming over from the Memorial. How long have you been on the Ark Angle?” He wanted to be friendly but direct with the crew. He did not want to come accross as unapproachable but he was not there to make friends with most of the crew. He waited for the scan to finish and to see how the ensign responded.

“Almost a Year now, sir” Buckingham smiled. He’s surprised himself - it felt like so much had happened in the past year, he hadn’t realized how much time has passed.
Buckingham closed the tricorder and returned it to his pocket. “Well, everything seems to perfectly in order, Commander. Did you have any questions or concerns?”

Ciaran was surprised about the short amount of time the Ensign had been on board. He then responded, “No, I do not have any additional concerns at this time. I might be reaching out to you in the next week or so to get to know you. It will be nothing formal but I like to get to know as much crew as possible. Thank you for your time today.” He then stood up from the medical table and headed out of the medical office. He knew his next stop was the CNS office to get the psychological evaluation.

“Thank you, Commander. I look forward to it!” Buckingham smiled as the XO left Sickbay.
