Once someone would tap their badge to open it, an alien like series of clicks, beeps, whirs, and what might be described as chirps came through. It might be some kind of language in the alien creator’s speech but as of yet their built in UT’s in the badges had not enough to sample to even attempt translation efforts. Further talking might help. Conversely someone of a more trained engineering mind might be able to make a bit more sense of the damaged system and tubes. The naninte controlled wolves seemed agreeable enough to let them scan and approach so long as they were not doing anything that could be seen as hostile.

There was another pause and flicker on the console. Before those who stayed had their comm badges click and whir and chirp again, with broken word fragments, =/\= Loss click beep control loss beep beep power damage whir sound beep help....help....help ussssss =/\= The last part was more clear somewhat as the small UT in their comm badges somewhat locked on to meanings. It seems the damage to the lab area was at a critical stage, power loss was evident and likely it was a cry for help for those nanites that were in the remaining tube not to be lost. They needed to act fast however, as based on alien symbols getting lower and flashing dangerously they did not have much time for extensive repair work. An engineer needed to stabilize this power or quickly rig something from a power cell with equipment on hand to buy more time.......if they so wished to do so naturally.
