Cerenity was in one of her classes and Luna was off for once. She smiled as the thought of going to the pool and enjoying a few moments without her daughter seamed like a wonderful idea. It was not often Luna got time to herself. She She was going to take advantage of it. She dressed in a dark blue swimsuit curing what a pain I the rear such garments were to put on with wings.

She smiled as she made it to the pool. She lept in totly contet to Flot it was so efertless compared to flying.
Ensign Luna

The door opened and Kane stepped into the recreation room. He himself wore a pair of red swim trunks, with the starfleet emblem on the left leg. Looking around he blinked as he had not expected the pool to be occupied. He didn’t wish to disturb the occupant, he did go over to the far side and sat at the edge of the pool dangling in his feet and legs getting a test for the water, as if it was something he had done a thousand or more times.

Luna heard him enter she sat up trading the water so she could see who entered. The OX! The new one. He gaze quickly became distrustful. She opened her wings flame once or twice befor she was free of the water she flew over and landed a few feet from him. ” Your the new XO I am Ensign Luna, when did you come abord” She asked.
Ensign luna

Kane looked up to her from where he sat on the edge of the pool. “Yes, pleasure to make your acquaintance Ensign. I arrived maybe a few days ago… no more than a week or so. Just thought I would do some cardiac and endurance training so I came here… being from security I take my physical health and wellbeing seriously. I didn’t mean to disturb you if I did.” He said still continuing to look up at her from the seated position.

” No you did not desterb me” She said. There was a coldness to her voice. She looked at him. Studying him. Her eyes showed the cracks in the mask she wore. There was a wrereness it was almost as she felt the waght of a galaxy on her shoulders.

” Tha sacurity if this ship is important, where were you stationed before here” She asked.
Ensign Luna

“I spent a number of years on the USS Skaadi. First as an Ensign, then as the Chief of Security and Chief tatical officer… we were a rapid response detachment that carried a detachment of Marines suited for heavy combat situations.” He explained as he leaned over a bit to skim his fingers over the surface of the water.

” Impressive, were you assigned here or did you choose the ark angel?” She seamed to relax a small amout she sat just our of arms reach at the side of the pool.
Ensign Luna

“At command positions they usually ask if you want it and is less of you will go here. But it gives me new experiences with a new captain and a new crew, hopefuly it will teach me new things as I hope to eventually be a good captain some day. But we all have to learn, every day and not just be satified with what we know currently… so that we can constantly grow as people.” He said as he played with the surface of the water with his fingertips.

” I did not get a choice at lest this assignment is a more appropriate one for raising children. Speaking of you had better not become a danger to my child or this ship. I will not hesitate to throw your but in the brig” Luna said. On the surface her statement could be sean as insubordination. But the deeper meaning shoed her despite desire to protect her friends and family.

Kane chuckled softly to himself. Before he shook his head. “Only if you are prepared to accept rhe same consequences Ensign. I can admire your desire to protect Ship and crew civilian and Starfleet but I would be careful with your tone.” He said as his tone shifted suddenly very serious. “There are some commanders that would take that as a threat and would hall you to the brig for insubordination.... on a Klingon ship that remark may have earned you a beatdown… I didnt get here through nepotism or knowing high ranking officers, members, or officials in Starfleet. I got here through my own hard work and determination. Being able to manage to win fights deemed impossible or unsurvivable.” He said as he stared out at the pools water concentrating on a point near the center.

“I have been in the brig and Klingons can try but they can’t beet what they can’t hit” Luna said completly unfazed.

” I assume you like the captain have acsesse to my entire file. I’ll put the record straight I have been an unwilling gest of section 13 twice. The first time a star fleet officer rescued me. The second I was taken off the brige of the Viking. Unlike others I don’t have the luxury or trusting anyone who just walks onto this ship.” She said.
