After successfully settling in her accommodations, the first line of business for T’Mor was to check in with her new department head. She was partially intrigued, and partially on guard, learning that he too was Vulcan. She was determined to make a good first impression. In her quarters, she practiced various greetings, of varying levels of formality ranging from traditional to modern. Counting on the fact he might initiate the conversation, she wanted to follow his lead for whatever tone he set. Perhaps she was overthinking it, and it was a waste of energy preparing so much. Before leaving, she made sure her uniform was pristine as possible, and then headed on her way to the CSO’s office. Once arrived, she rang the chime and awaited a response.

Saatynn was in his office, going over the latest sensor scans, both short and long range, when the chime rang. He frowned to himself, confused about the interruption. As he did so, he remembered that he was getting a new officer into his department. “Right. That’s what this is about.” He said to himself, before calling out “Come!”

He smiled at T’Mor, gesturing to the chair on the opposite side of the desk. “It’s nice to meet you, Ensgin, please, have a seat. Tell me a little bit about yourself. Would you like something to drink?” He asked as he walked over to the replicator.
