Closing in on the foreign object he could find it was made of copper with some kind of refined aluminum and tin mixed in. It was not much more then a quarter of an inch or so square. The object itself was indeed square shaped, and no thicker then a sheet of normal paper perhaps if that. It was possible the bull had ingested the tiny fragment off something bigger that had blown in or something from elsewhere.

“Hmm” Buckingham said quietly to himself as the results of the scans appeared. They were not as reveling as he had hoped they would be. But he would have to do his best with the information he had.

“Have you notice the Animals eating anything that they shouldn’t be - like something metallic?” He asked the villager - wincing as he asked because he was certain that was no doubt a stupid question. But if he could identify the source of the foreign object, it would help in determining the next course of action.

The woman looked up to Thomas at his question. “..On the ranch here? Heavens no! I mean sometimes the outer pens will get a bit windy and lighter flecks of this or that from the fabric weaver up on the hill will drift down once in a orange moon here. But even then its very rare that I think they would eat something. Why did you find something?” she said.

“Yes, I have” Buckingham said, the state of his puzzlement was clear in the tone of his voice. “It’s a piece of metal - only about a quarter of an inch thick and about the thickness of a sheet of paper.” He explained. “Have you any ideas where this might have come from?”
