Cochrane didn’t know why he had been summoned, but he left the Counselor’s office and made his way to the bridge. Walking onto the bridge he looked around as he made his way to the Ready Room door. Nothing seemed amiss, and all stations looked normal. Arriving, he pressed the chime.

As he entered Drudoc rose with a stoic look as was her usual, a calm fluidity she gestured for the Commander to take a position near her desk. “..Commander please come forth, I would normally give this more fanfare but time is short for the Ark Angel and yourself..” She said. Turning to the replicator.

Turning back she held in her hand a box covered in fine filigree. “..Commander as of this date and hour it is my pleasure as one of the Fleet Captains of this fleet to award you command of the USS Manhattan effectively immediately. And a field promotion to the rank of Captain with the final rank pending per the edict of the Foremost Fleet commander and president. I wish you the best of luck..” She said pinning the forth pip to his collar. “..And am sorry it did not have more fanfare for you and the crew..” She said.
