Myron was never nervous but on this occasion his stomach seemed to… grumble. He stood in front of the Chief Science Officer’s door, straightened his uniform, and walked in.(pressed the chime is a better thing to say in this instance, since the door isn’t guaranteed to be open and you don’t want to step in on your DH if they are in a meeting) “Ensign Myrok, reporting for duty”The CSO was deep into reading a bunch of reports. So deep into it that she didn’t even notice the ensign standing outside her office. Of course, getting into her office was not so easy as stepping through the door frame, since she kept the door closed so that she could work without constant interruptions. Her officers were smart enough to solve most problems on their own, and only came to her when the situation was truly dire.
So when she did notice the voice speaking, she looked up in surprise. What was he doing? She pressed the button to open the door and let the young vulcan in. “Come on in, Ensign, sorry for the wait.”
What showed before the ensign was a strange creature, about four feet tall, who looked like a cross between a goat and a deer. She had a face similar to that of a rather cartoonized goat, but with the fur coloration of a deer. She had hands with only three fingers and a thumb, but did seem to be wearing the regulation Starfleet uniform complete with the appropriate rank pips and commbadge.
She stood up and smiled slightly at the ensign. “I’m Lt. Sadie. No, I don’t have a last name. I suppose I’m similar to your own race, in that aspect. It’s Myrok, right? I read your file when they sent it here for approval. I’m glad to have you onboard”
Lt. Sadie
CSOMyrok with hands clasped behind his back took in his surroundings, he was not surprised at his superiors appearance he was a scientist after all. “Thank you for the welcome ma’am, I am eager to be of assistance in anyway possible.”
Ensign Myrok
Ooc: remember to always leave a space between the previous post and your own.
Ic: “Well, Ensign, do you have any questions?” Sadie asked with a small smile. Oh, Vulcans were so much fun. They had such variation, despite their claimed lack of emotion. She could tell this one was going to be… Interesting. Not as curious as Ensign T’gal in Xenobiology, that was for sure. Sadie sighed slightly to herself. Curiosity was her primary focus in this department.
“How was your time in the Academy?” She asked, tilting her head.
Sadie
CSOMyrok looked curiously at the CSO, “My tenure at Starfleet Academy was uneventful, my learning experience was A bit basic as compared to my training on Vulcan.” Myrok seemed to drift off for a split second but focused his attention back to the CSO. “I am at your disposal to assist.”
Ensign Myrok Scientist
“Dear Lune, stop saying you’re happy to help,” Sadie said with a slight sigh. “It’s basic and unnecessary. You’re a Starfleet officer, not a maid,” she exclaimed. “Anyways, I don’t have anything for you to do right now, that’s not how working on a Starship works. You just go do your counselor visit and your physical, then show up to work when it says to in your schedule. I’ll send you a schedule as soon as I’ve made an updated one for this next week. In the meantime, settle in, have a bit of fun, et cetera”
