USS Ark Angel
Main Sim - Bridge - Dealing With Lost Romulans
[snip]
Drudoc turned to regard Luna, her expression was that of a stern mother figure about to reprimand her child or the like. “..The ship is at yellow alert still Ensign. Our shields are still raised. They can not beam over. The civilians will be remaining in the near area at hand to their shelters. So if the ship does return to red alert, they are not but a few steps away, they will not be getting underfoot or hurt..” she stated.
As this was said the Ark Angel returned to orbit of the planet where the Synthesis was in low orbit. Drudoc conversed with the away team for a moment and decided to beam them and their shuttle back to the ship. Both Romulan warbirds were still at the system’s edge so in the brief time it took to lower the shields and complete the beaming they were not in danger.
No sooner had this been completed though then the whole ship began to shutter slightly as if the whole ship or more accurately area of space was having a bad case of indigestion. On the view screen there was a slow ripple in space about 300 meters off their port bow, and it went from a roughly 12ft square shape to quickly expanding more and more. Sinuous vein like ripples began to shudder and spider web out as it seems the ‘nebula’ which they knew to be the massive space borne creature was shuddering in return to some invasive event.
”..Report!..” Drudoc said as the rumbling and effects of what seemed electrical plasma discharges began to spark here and there distantly and grow slowly closer.
OOC: forgot to add this!
On sensors the nebula outside was quickly taking on a reddish hue more and more. They could see tendrils not red coming out of spots and smacking together with reddish tendrils, then those ones would grow red and the process would continue. It was like watching an infection spread across a body which was fighting itself. Scans were awash with energy spikes, some showed signs of temporal energy, others more physical or known energy patterns rooted in the current frame of reference, others seemed otherworldly perhaps indicating they did not lay in the normal universe that they knew, the list went on and on. As this was all taken in the turbulence they were all feeling was growing steadily worse. It would not be long until the ship was likely being tossed around like a leaf in a hurricane.
