Main Sim - Away Team - Valura's Run!

[snip]V’alura was ready to hang up the towel on her little impromptu scanning when all of a sudden her tricorder beeped and flashed and showed two little blips on the move (well, it looked like they were moving!). “Goodness gracious!” Then, because her scientific mind was far quicker and more eager than her rational mind, she darted off, chasing after the organic blips. Maybe if she’s fast enough she could catch up, or get a better reading or. . . or something!

Valaura’s dash out of the armory went mostly without comment at first. As she would run blindly down the hall she passed an NE or two who looked at her in surprise and confusion but other then moving out of her way and giving her odd looks they said or did nothing. The blips were still sporadic one second there, then gone the next. It was like some crazy nondescript pattern and chase.
She came around the corner of the corridor to a T intersection. Ahead of her was the end of the corridor and a turbolift. To her left heading port side on this deck were a line of junior officer/non-com crew quarters. To the right heading starboard were a small grouping of more jo/non-com crew quarters and the computer core access to its upper parts.
Checking scans though it seems the two blips had now become one! In fact they were it seems right literally beneath her feet. Looking down though all she saw was the deck plating and access hatch for the internal floor paneling for EPS and such lines. Maybe it was just below the floor plate she now stood on?

V’alura kept her gaze trained upon her tricorder, only occasionally glancing up to ensure she don’t accidentally barrel into anyone or run face first into a wall. Which would be terribly embarrassing. She skidded to a stop, her strange lifeforms seemingly beneath her feet! There was a moment of hesitation before she kneeled down and opened the access hatch. There’s a fantastic old saying that felt applicable in the moment, ‘better to beg forgiveness than ask permission’. Still, she was careful as she peered down. One eye on the tricorder, the other upon the various electronics and lines.

Opening the access hatch below her feet there was a split second in hindsight of her brain recollecting some kind of ‘squelch’ sound before the panel burst out of her grip!
Falling onto her butt, she found the panel had been knocked aside, and with surprising lightening speed two.....small 2 inch or so sized globs of what could only be described as green jello shot out of the hatch. One took off ahead of her down the T shaped junction, and with a sicking ‘slurch’ sound slid in between the cracks of the turbolift doors and out of sight. The other shot off down the corridor to her left to the port side of this deck vanishing from her sight around the corner which lead to the jo/non-com crew quarters on this deck.
Thankfully beyond a pair of slightly bruised butt cheeks she was fine.

“Gazooks!” V’alura exclaimed as the hatch burst from her hands and knocked her back. The surprises didn’t end there, as two little green blobs took off like spooked horses out the hatch. “Darn it all!” She scrambled to feet, hopped over the open hatch then gave chase once again. At the junction she hesitated before going left after the little slime that went around the corner. That one seemed to be her best chance of capture. Her tricorder was clutched tight in her right hand, ready to reference for the slime’s location should she lose visual track of it.
