We tracked down that system access request to being a programming error the boys back at Earth must have missed. We already have it pre-patched to avoid it happening again and Salar…” he said indicating the Ensign Vulcan nearby, “..Is checking our other systems to make sure there’s no other similar bugs. So far only thing afoot was the earlier computer power fluctuation report back on the 19th before we got into this muck. Despite Lieutenant Billy saying its not a glitch nothing else shows it isn’t anything but.” he added with a shrug.

”..Alright, well alert me if anything changes. For now these folks are going to do some scans and checks. Your team is to assist in any manner needed as long as it doesn’t endanger ship’s safety..” The Captain said getting nods in reply.

Turning then to Trax and the rest, “..Alright so any of you engineering folks on your team can remain here, the rest we’ll stop by the medical bay next for your Ensign to get their scans in and from there go where ever you think next you want to go ok?” he inquired.

Katie frowned. Everything seemed to be in order here and the Synthesis engineering team struck her as being competent. Just what she, as a recent academy graduate, could add to the mix was unclear. And perhaps that was exactly what Miz’uki expected from her; a fresh pair of eyes unbiased by years of familiarity with the systems. She glanced around looking for a place where she wouldn’t be in the way and could do some potentially meaningful diagnostics.

Once the Synthesis’s CO and the others from the Ark Angel had left, Miz’uki and Hobbes were left with the other four engineers lead by the ship’s CE Lt Austin the human male looked over both of the newcomers to his engine room. “..So you folks want to go poking around my engines and systems huh? Personally I don’t like it but orders are orders I guess. So where you two want to start?..” he inquired.

“Lt. Miz’uki. If you don’t have a particular task in mind for me, I think I’ll start by checking the coolant system. Utility systems always seem to be the ones which everyone assumes they are functioning correctly,” Katie said.
