With a whir the sickbay 1’s personal emergency power and containment systems came online first, lighting up the room in mostly normal setup. A few minutes after that the first of the banged up NEs began to arrive. Most had light burns, bruises or light broken bones but nothing so far more major then that.

Zarus’ left wrist was painful. Given the recent breakage, the suspected it may be broken. Zarus flexed their fingers. It hurt, but there was enough dexterity to work and they would treat themself after the initial rush.

Nurses were triaging the arrivals in a calm and professional way. A quick scan and anyone with just cuts and bruises was sent on their way. Those that remained were being moved to different parts of sickbay in accordance with the severity of their injuries.

Zarus saw a patient being taken straight to the medium priority zone who had clearly been near an exploding console. Her uniform was specked with blood and a quick scan showed that there were shards of transparent aluminium up the patient’s right arm and on the right side of her face.

“You’re lucky,” Zarus said, “It’s not gone in your eye, but theres a piece very close. We’ll get that one first so that it doesn’t move closer and scratch anything then we’ll bathe your eye to clean any soke residue out, yeah?” Zarus said reassuringly.

About this point the lighting flickered and rose to more normal levels, not back to 100% but certainly 90% there. NEs were coming and going at a work. Another group soon after arrived and a ship wide comm came through. =/\= Attention all hands this is the Fleet Captain Andone. I am pleased to report that we have made it through our journey back to the Milky Way, we are currently holding position a half a light year from Starbase 243. Aide ships are on their way though I am confident from damage control that we should have motive power shortly before they arrive. All departments provide status updates by 0900 hours tomorrow morning. Starbase 243 has already been apprised of our detour this past week and welcomes us back safe and sound.
