“the mater of fact counselor It is my first assignment to this ship.” Trax commented softly. “I figured i would start a tradition to tour the ship so that i would know the ship and crew better.” Trax said with a polite smile as he looked at the counselor and xo.

“Well, may this be a pleasant assignment for you, doctor.” Roux remarked, nothing short of a polite nature to her gentle tone. “I have to give you that one, a good tradition to begin.”

The XO looked at the Doctor and said “That is a fine idea, Mr. Suder. I may have to steal that myself going forward.” he said with a smile of genuine approval.

“Thank you, sir !” As Trax beamed with a nice smile on his face. “your more than welcome sir!” as he waited for the counselor to answer him. Along with the xo response to the shuttle bay questions. He moved on to the next several levels he knew they would respond when they were ready too. As he moved on as they left deck 44 as they casually walked through the engineering sections of 43 through to 39 all was familiar to Trax as the moved along. “Wow, I was not of a sickbay 3! Is it usually closed and offline?” Trax wondered as he asked the others.

Delarosa looked to Cochrane for the answer, as she was just as new as the good Doctor.

“Reserved for overflow casualties during combat operations. Allows for greater flexibility in triage and treatment, I believe is the justification used. Sounds solid to me, but I am no doctor, Doctor.” Cochrane said with a grin.

“That makes logical since due to it saves the hassle to change over the holdeck and cargo bays too. but its not needed unless something massive happened.” Trax commented back quickly slightly blushing. “I should have known that “ He thought to himself as he walked again. As the finished off the level as he tapped the call button to the turbo lift car. As they waited calmly for the car to arrive. As they moved into the lift and moved to deck 38.

Delarosa checked the time upon a nearby chronometer, realizing she had an appointment. “Oh dear! I’m so sorry to interrupt you two, but I must be going.” She offered a wry smile to try and hide the sheepishness of her own forgetfulness. “Do enjoy the remainder of your tour; I hope to catch up with you two, soon!” She waved, bading them farewell before disappearing down the hall, as if she hadn’t even been there, before.

Trax was going to say something but stopped. “Well, I guess it is just us sir?” Trax said with a polite smile as it faded as fast as it appeared. As they continued there tour of deck 38.

“Indeed, Doctor. I hope that doesn’t lessen your interest in the ship.” Cochrane said with a friendly chuckle.

As the pair were passing arboretum 3 the one door opened and one of the Ark Angel’s children came dashing out running past the pair, and hotly pursued by one of the ship’s care takers “..Charles Backer you get back here right now!” Shouted one of the older woman to the 10 year old boy who laughed merrily with a bottle of some kind in his hand, “..you could break that plant sample!!” she shouted.

“Not at all, sir! All is good we can move on from here.” Traz said calmly to his xo. All of the sudden Noticing the scene from the child and caretaker. As he shifted the xo out of the way so that he was not going to get hit by the child as he did not see what he was about to hit as The doctor too the brunt of the impact as he caught the child and the plant seedling safely as they both hit the floor with a hard thud. “Well, Charles Backer you can be a real player in the future.” Trax said calmly to the child with a small smile and laugh. “As he looked up at the caretaker I believe this child belongs to your care?” Trax could not help but to laugh at the face the caretaker was expressing. “All is fine” As he helped the child up off the floor as he got up after him. As he looked at the xo. “Are you ok sir!” Trax said with sincerity as he waited for the officer’s response and Trax was ready for the repercussions from his decision of knocking the officer out of the way He hoped he had not hurt the officer.

Charles now caught shuffled his feet and tried to get free of Trax’s hold but couldnt and was soon back under the control of the older woman care taker. “..Sorry about that sirs..” she said.

Cochrane was not a seemingly muscular figure, but when Trax pushed him, there was a startling amount of resistance for a split second, giving way to the imposed movement. Deftly keeping his feet Alex watched as the good doctor moved him, blocked the escaping child, caught the seedling and managed to not injure any of the involved parties. Looking at the doctor, Cochrane nodded in the affirmative to his question, gave him a wink in such a fashion as to block it from the child’s view and to let Trax know that ‘something was up’. Turning his full attention to the young boy, Cochrane put on his ‘serious face’.

“Young man. You will apologize to Dr. Suder immediately. And then to your teacher. And then you will explain to me why your running about this ship with plant samples that are to be kept in the arboretum.” and he looked intently at the boy with his hands clasped behind his back.

Shuffling his feet a bit and looking down Charles pouted a bit at the command to apologize. Then with a sigh he muttered “..S…sorry Doctor Suder..” he said.

Then looking to the XO he said, “..I was just having fun sir. No other reason..” he said.

“Your ok Charles?” as he tried to defuse the situation. “There are other ways to have fun, my dear Charles.” as he spoke softly to the child with no raised voice. “Maybe you can stop by later and we can play some board games or card sometime maybe go to the holodeck.” Trax offered a better solution. “No apologies are necessary from you my dear teacher and you Charles we all need a way to have fun on occasion but we can all can do it a better way. I know there was no ill intent from the young man’s actions but I will let this slide this time but we can do more if you like. after your classes. And as long your grades don’t slide. But it’s up to the xo here and the teacher if they are going to punish you but there was no harm done and all is well by me.” Trax said sincerely.
