As the all clear seemed evident Drudoc spoke, “..Stand down from yellow alert but keep weapon crews on hot standby just in case. Comms, hail the Merrimack..” she said. Also picked up was that the away team from the Merrimack had been beamed back safely to their ship.

A second later the XO’s reply came through…

=^=Yes Fleet Captain, we have them. I expect the Captain to arrive on the bridge at any moment. Interesting side effect of the combinations of our detonations. Seems my subspace bombs amplified the effects of your torpedoes in normal space as well as amplifying it’s own payload into sub-space.=^=

=/\= So it would seem, Commander. I will be sure to make note of this in my post mission report. I am sure had we had more time to explore the reactions the two together would have caused we would have caught this. Though it does explain then how in our time this planet was destroyed, and that thankfully there seems no other lasting damages. =/\= She said.

After his reply she added, =/\= Is Captain Glen available?=/\= She asked again.

Lieutenant Trainor was listening to the conversation between the Captain and the Merrimack when he received a notification on his console. Seeing that it was the damage report, the OPS officer quickly glanced over it, and then sent it over to the Captain’s and XO’s side consoles.

Cochrane pulled up the report and reviewed the damage. Looking over to the Ops station, he said softly to Trainor. “Could have been a lot worse. Coordinate with Engineering and make sure we have Damage Control Teams on site and repairs are under way. And get a full roster of casualties from Medical. I’m betting we will have some duty roster gaps over the next few days, so make sure we have all critical systems shifts covered. If you need a fill-in from another department, let me know.”

After a moment Captain Glen came over audio and on screen. For those having not met the late 23rd century Captain David Glen, he was dressed as everyone in this time period in the typical late 23rd - mid 24th century red uniforms, he stood about 5‘10 weighing in at a 160-165lbs or so, aged about in his mid-late 30s. =/\= Commander Andone. This is Captain Glen. =/\=

Drudoc using her CO chair selected the comm system and opened a visual channel though kept it narrow in scope to mask out the details of the bridge beyond those for the crew. Standing she smiled in a friendly manner, =/\= Captain Glen, good to see you safely got through all this. I’m not sure there are many who could claim to be inside a planet and have it become torn apart around them and survive. =/\= She said. Behind Glen next to the black/white skinned Commander Kord was a shorter human woman with red like eyes quietly whispering to Kord as the two Captains talked.

=/\= I wanted to congratulate you and your crew for our efforts in defending our reality and timelines from the Serpents. It is unfortunate that there was not a means to find a peaceful resolution to these matters, but they seemed from our brief comm hail we tried before the battle began that they are ran by a religious or cultural doctrine that does not believe or allow compromise to their own desires or goals. But based on a temporal communication I received a few moments ago the Serpents in the past and future by other allied forces report them in retreat or destroyed. It would seem your time period keeps coming up being a key point of history swirling with temporal anomalies. First the Elders, Ancients, and Harvesters, and now these Serpents. Hopefully there won’t be any further problems like this for you to have to deal with or experience..=/\= She said.
