“Yellow alert,” Rhansi ordered, repeating the captain’s order. Displays in every section lit to signal the alert, and interfaces shifted to amber. “Begin scanning the system,” he said, turning to tactical. The officer there was already keying commands. Subspace enhanced sensors could scan light-years; a few light-hours would take nearly no time at all.

“In addition to life-signs and vessels,” he added, “check for any signs of warp technology. Warp signatures, ion trails, anything that will tell us whether this civilization is warp capable.” Or should they throw the Prime Directive out the window this far out into the void? He’d need to read up on how Voyager handled things; he’d only had brief mention of them in his Academy lessons. Then again, Ark Angel was a few hundred thousand times farther away than Janeway and company had been.

There was signs of all those things, indeed the inner part of the system was awash with ships of many types showing a sort of trade hub station was in evidence! Technology scans were varied from ships warp capable but only barely but ones more on par with their own systems.

Fayth stepped off of the turbolift with Rainns and Andone and headed to the NEs at the aft science stations. “Report?” she asked them and after speaking to them she headed to her station, sat down and started pulling the data from the external sensors.

“Something tells me we should go knocking at their door.” Trainor said, to no one in particular. Tenzing brought up the scans and noticed the ragtag assortments. “If they saw us enter the system, I’m certain they’re starting to wonder when we’d show our face.” The Ops Officer said. The ship’s inventory was in optimal shape, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t take on some extra supplies.

Rhansi nodded in agreement with the ops officer. “Are we picking up any open comms traffic about our arrival?” he asked the room. With the translation updates, they may be able to piece that together. “And can we determine a central communications hub should we decide to hail them?”

There did seem a flurry of comm traffic that Trainor could pick up, central comm relays seemed to come from the second planet which had the trading hub station present. Using their new translations there did seem some interest in their arrival. Though no outward sign of weapons or such were shown being armed.
