”..A glass of water would be welcome.” Drudoc said taking a seat.

Once given it Drudoc sipped it a moment. “..So how are you and your staff taking our recent developments?” She inquired getting right to the point, she figured it was necessary to get to the point directly.

“They seem to be taking it remarkably well actually,” Hayley replied, “Their work has been exemplary and the initial emergency was handled smoothly and effectively.” She paused for a moment to gather her thoughts. “If they are anything like me, though, now that things are calmer, I expect the reality is going to start kicking in. I have to admit I am more than a little bit shaken by it all.” Hayley sighed and wrapped her hands around her cup of tea. The warmth was soothing to her.

Drudoc sipped the glass a second then set it down. “..I agree, depending how long this ‘debate exercise’ lasts with the Continuum the stressors of our situation will only grow. We’ll need to remain focused on our tasks to get through this together. Have you had time to begin analyzing local space events for any medical concerns?” She asked.

“Not yet,” Hayley replied, “We have mainly been focusing on tabulating our our available resources and figuring out what we can ration and what we can produce sustainably onboard. Lt. Fayth has done some amazing work in that direction. She can produce much of what we would otherwise have to synthesize in her arboretums. That means we don’t have to worry about running low on medications. The less we have to rely on our replicators the more we reserve power for other things if necessary. I will get a team together to start looking outward. Thank you for that reminder. Stress tends to make us focus inward, doesn’t it?”
