Drudoc was about to reply when Miz’uki interjected.

“Are you suggesting that we trust that Menace?” Miz’uki interjected “I would not trust that Childish Evil Menace with Pointing me to the Nearest Oasis back home!” she growled clearly not agreeing with the idea

This time, Telana harrumphed. “You can never trust a Q. They have no problem saying one thing and doing the complete opposite. The universe seems to be their personal playground. That’s why we find ourselves millions of light years from home, on a whim.”

Again Drudoc was about to open her mouth but Rainns beat her to the punch this time.

Rainns shook his head. “I don’t think the issue is whether or not to trust Q. I think we should be aware of his motives. Nothing in the Continuum’s past would suggest they hurl starships around the galaxy for no reason.” He looked over to the chief Engineer. “I think the best course of action would not place flying straight back home a priority. There is most likely a reason we are here, and there is most likely a chance that Q will bring us back whenever that reason manifests itself.” He nodded towards Trainor. “I think his point should be well taken by the rest of us.”

Drudoc held up a hand for a moment to get attention and quiet. “..I imagine whether we trust the Q or not is indeterminate on our future actions right now. I agree we were likely brought here for a reason but why and for what purpose we need more information. Further getting such information could in turn provide us a means home that either satisfies the Q’s debate or lets us get home on our own power and means..” Drudoc stated.

”..For now I want engineering and science to coordinate on ship status updates and preparedness as well as exploring this sector of space we’re in. Despite the bleakness of our situation we are explorers, and it was those efforts which drew Q’s attentions in the first place. I see no reason to deviate from that for now..” Turning to Trainor then. “..Commander when you return to the bridge have NE Brians set us a course for that nearby system it should be our first stop provided no threats materialize from it..” She said. Turning to Marshall. “..I want your department to go over everyone’s medical records, make sure things are up to date, and if not get them handled while we got some quiet time. I also want a medical view scan of the region for possible medical vectors that could be a concern.” she stated. Finally turning to Rainn and Bray, “..As I said before prep your teams for possible First Contacts or reactionary security response events. Hopefully things will go peacefully in our coming contact with the local aliens in this galaxy but if not I want to be prepared for any other outcomes..” She said to both.

”..Any questions?” She asked.

Sharah spoke up, “If we are heading towards the star system, would you like me to have a shuttle prepped to go gather more of the Boridium, Captain?” Sharah was not keen on separating from the Ark Angel at this point, but the Boridium was a valuable energy source for them, and there was no way to know if they would come across more naturally occurring deposits again. So if the captain wanted it, then either the Ark Angel would have to go back to the asteroid field or they would have to take the larger runabouts to get some, if they could fit it in.

”..Even at impulse returning here would only be a few days, for now I see no reason to harvest more Boridium until we can properly process what we already have and know more of this region. Afterall it could belong to someone we have yet to meet which could spell trouble for us we do not need.” She explained in her reasonings.

While being increasingly anxious about their situation, Trainor knew that while Q’s tricks and distractions were a huge inconvenience most of the time, Q’s intentions were usually in their best interest. At least this time, there wasn’t a chance anyone would be left behind.

”..If there are no further questions or concerns, you’re all dismissed to return to your departments.” Drudoc said.

“Thank you Captain, I will keep you updated.” Hayley gave a respectful nod as she stood and made her way to the door to return to Sickbay.
