Once Hayley sat, Drudoc began. “..It is more what you could do for the ship. Due to some......shall we say frustrating circumstances. I was forced to relive Lieutenant....now Ensign Suder from the chief medical officer and senior department head role on this ship. With that said I need to obviously fill the role in my staff. I would like that person to be you, Ensign. If you are willing?” She inquired.

There was a slight pause before Hayley replied, this was not what she had been expecting at all and it took her a moment to process. While she hadn’t been on board long she had already developed a great deal of respect for Dr. Suder. “I would be honored, Captain.” Hayley answered, hoping desperately that there would be no hard feelings between her and her former CO. Despite her shock and curiosity she did not ask for details as she felt it was really none of her business. “Do you think there is anything I can do to support Dr. Suder through this change?” She added.

Ensign Marshall, Doctor

”..With the position comes a promotion in rank to Junior Lieutenant grade..” She said first off sliding over the hollow pin pip for later mounting on her collar. “..As for Ensign Suder? It is hard for me to say, given the circumstances he is under going personally I would say offer a friendly understanding voice and reason if and when needed. In other orders, we should be expecting several junior officers coming aboard soon. I’ll trust you to have your staff prepared to accept them for their evals by tomorrow..” Drudoc said.

”..If there is nothing else then Lieutenant Marshall you’re dismissed..” She stated.

“Thank you Captain, We will be ready.” Hayley stood and made her way through the doors, back across the bridge and into the lift. Once alone she allowed the grin she’d been holding back out, if only for a moment or two. She felt bad for Dr. Suder and really hoped the change would not affect their working relationship. She made her way back to Sickbay to start getting organized.
