USS Ark Angel

pre-sim - Fayth Reports for Duty - CSO Office

After her psych check-in Sharah headed straight to the CSO office. Lt. Marsh on Europa had been amazing. He’d been thoughtful and had actually given her the opportunity to stretch her creativity by letting her redesign the small aboretum on Europa. He’d let her do it her way with very limited input, but what he did say was significant and had made her plan better. He had also given her a small crew to take charge of in order to get it done. Sharah was a force to be reconned with in sickbay, in an opperating room, in a medical emergency, but she saw herself more as part of the team in stead of leading it. It had been an eye opening experience and one she was greatful for. It had prepared her for working with the research team on Earth. It had given her a boost in confidence in her leadership skills. That after awhile she’d realized she already had from her medical training, she just hadn’t seen it.

From deck 11 she took the turbolift two decks down to 13. While waiting almost impatiently for the turbolift to arrive, Sharah considered just going through the jeffries tubes. She laughed to herself softly. That’s what Ashlyn would do. She hated turbolifts, was terrified she’d get stuck in one. They almost had once on Europa. She could probably get to the CSO’s office faster anyway. But that probably would be frowned upon to go through the tubes. Hmmm…that reminded her, she needed to see about parkour on board. She wondered if anyone ran a program or if there was a more permanent course set up. Ark Angel was big enough for it. Maybe near the gym? She also needed to check on a Mok’bara class. She needed to start that again. It would help settle and clear her mind, working through the forms.

AH! The turbolift finally arrived, and she stepped in. “Deck 13.” The lift whizzed away and stopped at deck 12 for another officer to get on who needed to go to deck 22. And then it stopped again one deck later to let Sharah off. She stepped onto the deck and followed the map on her PaDD to get to the CSO’s office. She wasn’t really a science officer, well she was, medical fell under science and so did botany. She hoped that that was enough. She of course understood the scientific method and chemistry and her medical background would serve for many biological sciences. She wasn’t good with computer programming, physics, and astrometrics. She was good with plants and couldn’t wait to identify and work with samples of flora from other planets. So with an excited air about her, that came with all new young officers eager to begin a new chapter of their career she rang the chime on the CSO’s office door.
