First of all thanks so much for sitting down with me today to discuss the Ark Angel and your experiences as a Captain! Please find the two list of questions below, please feel free to expand on any of them as much as you like. I kept the second interview about your experiences to a few short questions as I knew you would have a lot to tell us.

1. How long have you been Captain of the Ark Angel?

Oh dear you really got me to think, going on about 5 years or so now I think?

2.Your Captain is a Romulan. What is her history and how did she come to be a CO in Starfleet?

Drudoc was part of a STF version of an officer exchange program between the Star Empire and Stafleet (like the similar Klingon/Starfleet (like the one that Riker took part of in TNG) in the game year of 2382-3. Unfortunately, during character sim events this was ended but Drudoc remained as an olive branch between both Fleets. Currently she holds the rank of Fleet Captain in Starfleet and Fleet Commander (the equivalent in the Romulan ranks) in the fractured Star Empire.

3.The AA is a Mythology Class explorer which is usually used in long term deep space explorations and patrol. Are these the types of missions she is usually charged with or do you try to bring other types in?

I try to keep some sort of theme of exploration going, but I do mix it up now and then and work in personal player character ideas for their own characters where possible.

4.I see on your MOTD that she is given the Beta Quadrant to patrol, what types of species have you seen out there?

We just started our patrol out of contact with both Starfleet and the Federation and currently we have run into a custom former servant species (Like the Remans) of the Romulan Empire called the Gurdians who are in pursuit of some scientists seeking asylum with Starfleet. Beyond that there are other species out there like my custom insectoid race the Flea’tans, as well as several canon races. We just haven’t run into them yet.

5.Is there much of a Starfleet presence in the Beta Quadrant?

You got to remember that the Federation skirts both the Alpha and Beta quadrants, so I would say there is some.

6.You are both CO and GM and have been for many years on the AA. Do you think it has been an asset for the ship? If so, how so?

I think it has, because it lets me plan sims around the ship and crew and eases up my admin duties of having to work with someone else in the GM role. Thereby letting me focus on the ship and crew in a more personal manner.

7.You have the usual contingent of DH’s on the crew but are there other Swing DH’s or positions that the AA is suited for that you would like to put a shout out for?

At present no, though I am open to ideas from players so if someone has an idea they feel would fit the ship they are free to run it by me.

8.Who is your favorite Star Trek Captain and why? Do you try to emulate them with your CO character?

Janeway is my personal favorite, though I really think they could have done more with the character in Voyager then they did. Drudoc actually got to meet Janeway in a sim a while back who gave her some advice on being a CO. But for the most part Drudoc is her own character and while some things of Janeway might eek in out of character from me I try to keep her as her own woman.

9.Where would you like to see the AA go in regards to her growth? Are there any special projects you have for her?

I really would like to see more JO’s as we seem cursed in gaining then loosing them despite efforts to engage them where possible. As for special projects I am debating a multi-ship sim sometime down the line with the Memorial working with its CO Kirt Gartner but nothing has been set in stone yet for that.
