Hey everybody!

So I have just been given a great job as CMM, I know I have some big shoes to fill so I figured at first I would simply introduce myself which doesn’t happen to much since were all here to write the character as a bit of escapism or to just get out the educational benefits writing with some amazing writers.

So in Discord you can catch me as MintyNarhwhal, Jake, Capt Narwhal. I have been asked before “Why Narwhal and why MintyNarwhal?” And infact there is a smalls tory behind that but essentially when i first got my Xbox I didn’t know what to use as my Gamer tag and I was coincidently brushing my teeth and it had “Minty Fresh” And I was like that’s awesome and thus my Xbox GT was Mint3yFr3sh since the others were already taken. I later then joined a browser game called Astro empires and the guild there required animal names so I was like what animal is cool. At the time that “narwhal we are” Narwhal song was out and I was like yeah this is lit, so I chose MintyNarwhal and that is the birth of my Online Alias!

A bit more about me, I am from the UK and live near the pile of stones everyone called Stonehenge and typically causes traffic on the A303 westbound because EVERYONE slows down to see them. I am the young age of 27 which I think makes me kinda young but not the youngest hehe! I serve in the armed forces and I am a massive advocate for mental health! I think I also have become rather known for my content questioning of everything in STF and some of my more radical ideas! I am a very passionate writer and heavily opinionated. I like to think I wear my heart on my sleeve and I like to cut through the mist, beating around the bush just isn’t my kind of style (usually). I love football (not soccer booo) and A HUGE Portsmouth FC supporter, I love gaming and I am engaged to my beautiful wife to be Rachael who absolutely thinks I’m a huge NERD writing trek but has always helped and supported me, more often than not I ask her how best things sound or might be written and her usual response is “Is this for your Star Wars Trek thing” And dont worry I promptly educate her the differences between the two.

I joined STF a little over or under a year ago and it’s been great I had some rocky starts trying to find my feet and I was a little naughty and learned to run before I learned to walk by skipping the Academy something I think EVERYONE should do hehe! I am currently the CO of the USS Sentinel and the XO of the USS Leviathan, I’m on a few other ships as DHs and even a med student just joined trill!

I hope as CMM I can validate the amazing writing you guys and girls do as well as create a hub of information sharing. My biggest goal as CMM is to really push out our social media platforms and even speak to our RPG sites to get the message out there that we do indeed exist!
