This is a questions for all candidates.

Melissa just mentioned she has been here just shy of four years. If I’m not mistaken, she’s the member who joined most recently who has posted on the election ship. In other words, our newest participating member made captain so long ago it was before the Exodus transition.

Sarah said in a headquarters post our new members are interested in getting involved in all aspects of the club. Why do you think they haven’t posted any questions during this election? Is that concerning? Is that totally fine that none of them have?

Just a correction note that I was mistaken, as James Sinclair joined after Melissa. And since I’ve posted this we’ve had some new member activity, which is great to see.

Part of this is my fault, as typically, I’d really be walking my graduated cadets and my cadets through the election and answering any questions about that. As a candidate in the election, that gets to be a little more dicey, but I’ve worked with Cale and Daniel to make sure that the information presented to them is non-biased and informative (Daniel has been taking the lead on discussing the election with them). Honestly, we’ve gotten some feedback from them that they’d like to see fewer questions about what could be considered arbitrary and more substantive posts, which I think is really good feedback for all of us! I’m really happy to see them starting to pop in with questions.
