Throughout this campaign we’ve been gradually rolling out what exactly it is we’re setting out to accomplish this term. In short, we want to push forward the work began in previous terms, ensure our key positions are well staffed by active people who we aren’t burning out, and bring forth change that both will be attainable to make and be worth doing.

You can expect both Thomas and I to be active during the coming term, just like we have been during this election. These are the topics we’ve brought up during this campaign through our headquarters posts:

• I explained that we plan to staff the fleets and departments well and how we intend to do that - Staffing

• Thomas expounded upon what we mean when we say we expect those in the government to be present - Staffing - “Present” & “Present”

• I explained we’ll support the Academy as they continue relaunching the Mentorship Program and publicize the underutilized Command Mentorship Program - Academy Mentorship

• Thomas described our intent to continue the Marketing-Advertising Coordinator and Community Organizer discussion, help the MAC get more involved in internal community events, and codify the needed changes - Community Organizing

• I pointed out that the expectations we have for the fleets and departments to be engaged and competent while taking a team approach will be led by example by us - Leading By Example

• Thomas explained our desire to respect people’s boundaries and not push them into a greater workload than they have time for - Boundaries and Workload

• I expressed our intent to start conversations when there are lulls in Command, conversations that will be less stressful than debates yet serve a purpose - Keeping Discussion Going

Thank you to those who’ve taken the time to read through our platform and our answers to the questions from the membership. We appreciate your consideration of our ticket and we hope to have the chance to guide STF forward in the coming term. I’d also like to thank Sidney, Tony, Matt, and D for contributing their ideas and for helping to make this an election process that went pretty smoothly in my opinion.
