Now that I have finally gotten through all of the exhaustive posts on the election ship. I do have a few questions of my own that either have not been discussed or were not responded to at all by some of the candidates.

Presidential Candidates.

1) There was a brief comment made about the Community and Marketing Coordinator. As a former MAC, I was in charge of promoting our club in various ways such as on other forums. Where do you see the current position and what do you think can be done to improve the position, to help get STF out to more people. And in turn, garner more interest in the club with new members?

I think Linds is doing a great job of that first off, her recent efforts with Khitomer were excellently done from what I heard though I sadly couldn’t attend it. Respectfully despite what you say below I have had good responses from talking of stf myself and from talking to other members in doing the same. Maybe I just got lucky but Im not sure. As such I think if we remove the supposed stigma that you imply it would generate more word of mouth good will for us.

Word of mouth is great, but I have found that the general membership won’t or doesn’t talk with the rest of the general public about the club. Maybe out of embarrassment, or fear that other people just won’t understand except for like-minded individuals.

2) There is no doubt that the club is in dire need of fresh blood in the upper cabinet positions. How will you go about in finding said new blood? There was talk about a mentorship program. How will you go about identifying individuals who might be interested in said program positions?

Louis and I believe encouraging leadership by example is the grounding start point. I have had good personal results in mentoring at the CO level my fellow XO and DH’s on the ark angel in the recent past, with the mentorship program going in the works I would simply ask people. I dont have any particular IDing idea at present though am open to suggestions.

3) There is a new GM exam. What are your thoughts about a renewed effort to making the DH, XO, CO, Engineering courses available and updated? There used to be a list of people who have completed said courses. Would you be willing to make that available to the public again? (This is going back to effWebb)

As the current enginerring course grader it has been a frequent topic point of discussion for me in pms to one day update that bloody thing. But time constraints just keep me from it. Updating the others might be a good idea but a close eyed look would be in order. I’m on the fence in putting said list public again if it were we’d need to make sure people are comfortable with that being open to public view or not.

4) Is there anything within the current government that you would like to change as soon as you are elected? Why or Whynot?

Off hand the major ‘change’ is not so much a change but an attempt to lead by example with new faces and mentoring as well as promote a more positive club atmosphere in discussions minus any bullying or passive aggressive negativity that might crop up

VP Candidates

1) Both candidates are rather new to any cabinet position. What makes you qualified to be running for the Vice President position within the club?

2) What is your opinion on being on multiple ships versus a few ships? WIll this help or hinder your abilities to perform your duty as VP?

3) The same question as the presidential candidates is there anything within the current government that you would like to change as soon as you are elected? Why or Whynot?
