I would like to continue with my questions about members, how a President and Veep respond to them, and how to run the club. Therefore, my question is:

Understanding how important members are to the club,

1) How do you plan to keep the current members engaged so that they wish to continue being part of the club?

A) Specifically, I know we all want to RP…but how do you plan to reach each member?

B) Do you find that reaching every member you can to be important?

(Yes, I know these questions seem like regular government questions; but, after studying government for years now, these are the types of ideas you come up with. Also, as a member, it is important for me to know how the government will react to its members). Thank you for all your time, effort, and thoughts you are putting into these answers).

Hi Tim, thanks for your question.

Making information available for each member of the club is important to both James and I, and to that end we plan on encouraging people with ideas and suggestions to take them to command or the right area for more for discussion and feedback by the members.

We plan to use the club news feed a little better, although it needs to be balanced as too much information will become lost quickly. It was always exciting to read about a CO or XO position opening up, and it is a great way to present the clubs happenings to new members.

When it comes to reaching each member specifically, there is already planning underway by club members for a regular STF newsletter.

James and I dont need to take that work and claim it as our own as a campaign idea, because it isn’t our idea and that would cheapen the contributions already made by those members to the work.

As President and VP our role is to support and encourage that work as much as we can. We love the idea and support it fully. For all of that, it’s still up to the members to click on and read the communications and take some responsibility for it. We can make it available and encourage people, but can’t make them read it, contribute or join in if they don’t wish to.
