Hello, Cale thank you for providing me with this question and what an awesome question it is. I hope you find my answers to be both interesting and inciteful.

Part 1) I wanted to do the whole what are your strengths sort of thing but I was pondering how best to do this and instead decided that asking you guys to do a SWOT analysis was actually the best way I could think of. For anyone who doesn’t know a SWOT analysis is a planning technique used to help identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT). Strengths

What advantages do you have that others maybe don’t have (for example, skills, knowledge, past roles, real-life experience of leadership)?

Since a young age I have grown up around business this has taught me several skills including what it is like to be a part of a team and on how to make decisions that benefit a business or environment in the long run. Furthermore, throughout my years in education, I have completed courses such as Business and Admin this has allowed me to formulate strategies on keeping track of projects and ideas and on how to run and maintain different things. In addition to this, I have also begun my studies to prepare me in the next year or so to join the Law Enforcement sector this so far has also helped me to diffuse situations something I feel would be a beneficial part of my skill set when Rob and I are elected in the office next term.

Over the past 3-4 years since joining the club, I have also learnt a number of skills through the number of positions I have held in the club and the mentors that I have received advice and training from over the years. It is my opinion that all of the above combined will help to form the basis of a skill set that I feel will be most crucial to serving as a Vice President.

What do you do better than anyone else?

I can openly say that I feel there is nothing I can do better than anyone else I feel that in one way or another I am equal to each individual member of the STF club.

What personal resources can you access?

There are a number of resources that I can access when completing my day to day tasks within the club. To begin with, when posting I use recourses such as Memory Alpha and Memory Beta these allow me to make my posts for accurate. Furthermore, when submitting posts, completing reports and sending emails I use Grammarly to proofread all my work for spelling and grammar mistakes. This allows my work to be free of errors and look professional.

In addition to this, I also have access to several cloud-based sites that’s such as Google Docs and Microsoft one drive here I can back up my STF work and Ideas and work on any projects I have this assists me with the Administrative skillset that I need and frequently use in the club.

Finally, I have access to the club’s impressive library for any queries regarding the club members technology/species creation or any queries regarding the club’s government and its structure. The library also allows me to keep up to date and appraised on the rules, procedures and regulations of the club.

I also have the members of the club whom in placed like discord I can openly ask for help or advice on a multitude of topics. As each member has a different set of knowledge regarding different things. Each person knows something that can prove to be beneficial at one point or another.

What do other people see as your strengths?

During my time so far in the club others have described me as been Enthusiastic and full of energy. In addition to this, it has also been noticed that I am good at recruiting when needing to appoint people to complete specific tasks these strengths are something that I completely agree with and have personally observed in myself. Furthermore, I have also been told that more of my strengths include my administrative and organization skills. Something that in the long run will also prove to be beneficial.

Which of your achievements are you most proud of?

There are several achievements that I am personally most proud of both in and out of the club. I will go in depth when explaining what those are in the club and will briefly explain those that I am proud of out of the club.

In the club since joining close to 4 years ago, I have been most proud of successfully passing the Executive Officers course and getting 2 executive officer positions in the club. I have also been most proud of getting my first government position as Assistant Fleet Commander (Fleet 3) 1-2 years ago and most recently, which I feel is my biggest achievement. I have been most proud of successfully been appointed as Commanding Officer of the USS Constellation and been promoted to the rank of Captain something I feel that after a lot of training and mentoring I was wholeheartedly ready for.

Furthermore, out of the club, I am most proud of completing a myriad of courses and qualifications that have assisted me in my day to day life and helped me get further towards my goal of someday joining the Law Enforcement sector.
What values do you believe in that others fail to exhibit?

Weaknesses

What tasks do you usually avoid because you don’t feel confident doing them?

At present having completed training outside of the club and following the advice from past mentors in the club I do not feel that there are any tasks that I currently avoid. But in the past, I have personally decided to steer clear of tasks that involve a lot of people as in the past I have felt that if I messed up, I would let down a number of people. Over the last year or so I have started to stop doing this and have started throwing myself into the tasks that I have steered clear from in the past this has led me to become more of a confident person and helped me to develop skills that I feel will drastically assist me when I become the next Vice President.

What will the people around you see as your weaknesses?

People who are around me on a regular basis will notice that from the point of view of my weaknesses I have been known in the past to jump the gun or be impulsive. But this has changed over the last several months to a year.

Are you completely confident in your skills or knowledge about the club and its bylaws and mandates etc? If not, where are you weakest?

I would not say that I am 100% when it comes to knowing the club’s rules and bylaws, I have a feeling that only a handful of members are completely confident when it comes to the above. But I would like to say that I feel I am versed in all of the major documents such as FCOMM and EEEGO along with others. At present my current routine is to at least a couple of times a week sit down with a cup of coffee and read through certain articles of the library in order to improve my growing knowledge of the club’s history and major documents and charters.

What are your negative work habits (for example, are you often late, are you disorganized, do you have a short temper, or are you poor at handling stress)?

In the past, I have been known to jump the gun and rush ahead to quickly or impulsively but over the last couple of months/year I have learnt to take my time and be patient when completing a task this allows me to complete tasks and projects with ease and in a more efficient manner.

Do you have personality traits that hold you back? For instance, if you have to conduct meetings on a regular basis, a fear of public speaking would be a major weakness.

When meeting or speaking to people that I have not met before or only speak to on a rare occasion I have known to be consumed with Anxiety but with breathing exercises and self-control I can keep this under control it has been some time since anything like this has concerned. Joining STF has helped me drastically with this as I meet new people all the time.

Opportunities

What help could you get from others around the club?

As Vice President, I could primarily get help from Robert as my President. In addition to this, I can get assistance from cabinet members when needing to collect data and/or information on a specific situation. Furthermore, If required I can reach out to a former mentor who has been a shoulder to cry on our someone to seek counsel from in the past.

Do you have a network of people to get advice from? And will you Utilize this in your role as president or veep?

Yes. As veep, I will have a multitude of people to get advice or assistance from over the next term varying from Robert, president, to the members of Rob and my cabinet. In addition to this should it be required I feel that I could also reach out to previous cabinet members to get advice from them as they may have dealt with similar situations in the past? Though I would primarily follow my first port of call that been the president.

What trends do you see in the club atm, and how can you take advantage of them or use them to make changes?

At present, the trend that I have noticed is that there is a steady influx of members in the club.

Is there a need in our club that no one is filling or doing? If so what is it and how will you identify and then address it?

Not that I or Rob have seen at present. But if one should surface, we will isolate and analyze it and then devise a suitable efficient resolution once devised we can integrate it.

What do you think is the thing club members complain about the most? And how will you create an opportunity by offering a solution?

Unsure at present.

Threats

What obstacles do you think you will face as Prez or veep?

At present, I do not foresee any obstacle but as I have answered in previous questions it is difficult to predict obstacles until I am in that situation personally.

What areas are you really not sure about that you will need to ask for help in?

It is my belief that areas I may need assistance in if it is required are when it comes to assisting in the Disciplinary of members. All though I am confident in following the correct procedures when dealing with such situation I feel that I may need to at one point or another seek advice when it comes to confirming that I am taking the correct course of action.

Could any of your weaknesses lead to threats?

At present, I do not feel that any of my weaknesses would lead to threats but due to not be in the environment of the VP at this present moment in time I can neither confirm nor deny that a threat could pop up. Though should a threat arise I can confidently say that with the assistance of the President we can successfully deal with any issue that could pop up.

Part 2- Leadership

According to Daniel Goleman, there are six styles of leadership, results.

Visionary — mobilize people toward a vision.

Coaching — develop people for the future.

Affiliative — create emotional bonds and harmony.

Democratic — build consensus through participation.

Pacesetting — expect excellence and self-direction.

Commanding — demand immediate compliance.

Which style do you think you are and why?

Selecting from the above list of leadership styles it is my opinion that I fit into two of Goleman’s leadership categories. Those been Democratic and visionary. It is my belief that these two styles relate to me because it is my goal to one day help to mould and carve both the club and its members into something even more brilliant then it already is.

Finally, what world leaders (past or present) do you admire most and why?

The World Leader in which I admire the most is Sir Winston Churchill, British Prime Minister (26 October 1951 – 5 April 1955). I admire Churchill for several reasons I will now go on to explain some of the reasons why I admire him. To begin with, the primary reason in which I admire is his drive and determination and the fact that he did not give up and knew how to get the job done.
