A question for any candidates that wish to answer, whoever they will end up being.

Under what circumstances, if any, would you reject an FComm’s recommendation for a CO appointment?

Such a choice to me would and properly should be a rare thing. First off because I would hope that my fcomm in question had done their own research into the applicant in question to ensure the health and fun well being of the prospective ship. To outright reject an Fcomm I would have to see that the prospective CO is not a proper fit for the ship in question. And would ask the Fcomm to reconsider other applicants, though I would also explain my reasons and try to get their feedback and see their side of things why the prospective CO is a good fit.
