According to Legislative Edict Governing Official Elections (LEGOE):

If at any time after the end of the nomination period there is only one validated ticket, then pending any unresolved election-related disputes, the Election Coordinator may declare an Uncontested Election.

Seeing as their are no pending or unresolved election-related disputes, I declare this Election Season an Uncontested Election.

Therefore, Jack Dipper and Steve Johnson will be the next President and Vice President of STF.

Jack’s term will start on Thursday, August 1, at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. If you are on the Discord server at that time, there will be a small ceremony on the events channel to mark the chamging of command.

Thanks everyone!

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the election debate over the last week. While we’re genuinely excited to serve as your President and Vice President, we must acknowledge that this victory feels bittersweet, given the election was uncontested.

As I’ve said previously, it is by having debate that we get to the best answers for the club. Unfortunately, the absence of a contested election means we missed out on those richer discussions that challenge and refine our ideas. Aware of this, Steve and I believe it’s essential that you have chance to provide scrutiny on our policies we were running on, both those discussed recently and those we were planning to announce over the next couple of weeks.

Both Sage and Jenn have agreed for us to continue using the Election Ship, which will continue to be a space where we can present our upcoming proposals and you can critically evaluate our plans. We invite you to join this ongoing conversation, helping us refine our initiatives and ensuring that we truly earn your trust and support before our term begins.

We’re both looking forward to engaging further with all of you!
