It is not unusual in STF for a Vice-President to have to take over as President in the middle of the term.

How comfortable are you with having to take on the role as President if called upon to do it? Would your approach as President mirror the approach laid out by your running mate during this election? Do you believe you have the needed experience to serve as President if needed?

Hi Dan, thanks for the question!

To put it simply, yes, I am comfortable with having to take over as President if I was called upon to do so. I can say this confidently both as someone who has had to do so, as well as someone who has previously President of this fine group. I feel this has given me the experience needed to serve as President again if needed. I have also learned a lot, and am in a different place in life now, then I was the last time I had to do so.

As for what my approach would be, it would mirror what Joe has laid out as our platform. Joe and I are in agreement that change needs to happen here within STF. We have been drifting recently, and we need to take a hard look at what can be done to help get us back on course. I won’t rule out the chance of my approach changing, but there would be very few things (ie Joe being impeached because of our plan for renewal) that would push me to change my approach.
