Could be a really great idea to get more people back into it! I fall into the guilty category myself since the SolarWinds breach my workload has gone dramatically up as changes rolled out across our organization. However, I always find myself longing to engage with everyone again, but haven’t because of my workload and knowing I’d fall into the posting requirements. Hope this can bring a lot of people back! I’m going to try and work on it myself and bring a few of my characters back if I can find a good opening!

This would be a permanent change as a whole. DH and below can request a permanent change to their individual posting speed (on a ship by ship basis for multiple characters). CO/XO can request a change from FComm, but their change would have to have a time limit before returning to normal. They could request a week, 2 weeks, a month, etc.

I personally think this is a solid solution. It gives players some much needed autonomy in handling their own speeds, CO’s can still manage their ships effectively, AWOL’s can be enforced a more straightforward and consistent fashion.

Is it a perfect solution? Maybe not. But it ticks a lot of the boxes we need to help address the issue.
