Those who know me here in STF, know that I avoid Command and Club Politics for a very, VERY good reason. It takes a SIGNIFICANT level of Cow-pies to get me to say anything, and quite frankly at this point, The Button Has Been Smashed to pieces, and this rant is unstoppable, I am so indescribably infuriated that I am seeing the brightest shade of red!!!!

This is the most ludicrous and backwards club governing body I have ever seen! to allow the loudest few to bully the majority who stand in support of something into silence! I will not name names, don’t try to lie through your teeth and say oh but clearly we are the majority if we are the ones speaking out. Just don’t, where were any of you, and what were you doing to fix this issue during the past administrations? Now don’t think that I am any better I am man enough to admit my faults I have not done or suggested anything myself, and I own up to that! again I avoid Club Politics for a reason, and that reason has gotten me far in this club.

But to reject an idea just because, is beyond stupid it is cutting off the club’s nose, to spite its face! the fact remains that this would make it a more comfortable club for people who have actual lives beyond STF! I am now working part-time at a freaking Little Ceasers, at the time of writing the draft of this post it is 9:35 on April 28th, 2022, and I just got done working a long tiring shift. And there are club members who have it even worse than I. I have bills to pay, I have more important things than STF to tend to, yet I find the time because I love this club, and If this idea would make it even slightly easier, then I am willing to entertain the idea let it go through revisions and find a compromise But the high circle of friends who believe they are the end all be all of STF, are being too stubborn and bull-headed to even consider an idea that would improve the club and make it more welcoming to new and returning members!

To just go scorched earth on the fleets and the ships, will be the death of this club! 35 Years of STF DOWN THE DRAIN!!!! It will drive people away and send the message that the Club is in fact on its death bed where Rob Kat and James’ Idea will make the place more comfortable and easy for people to get into it will make it more attractive to new members! and if this is not implemented, then I will have to seriously reconsider who all has the best interests of the club at heart, and whether or not I truly have a place here!

Kirt.... We can all appreciate your passion for the club and your feelings about the issue here has been reflected in previous posts by others in the past. However, if this is going to be kept a discussion on the proposal, we need to keep other discussions of other issues for a later time. This is a reminder to ALL members to keep criticism and opinions constructive and respectful (not saying you weren’t, Kirt… just trying to avoid the issues of the past).
