Background:

Liana is the oldest of four children born to her Human father and Bajoran mother. Her mother had been a refugee during the Cardassian occupation who became a renowned civilian forensic pathologist. Her father is a Starfleet Officer, having reached the rank of Rear Admiral just as Liana began the Academy.

After her tour on the Ottawa, Liana was assigned to the USS Armstrong as it patrolled the Klingon border. She has extensive diplomatic experience with Klingons in particular, due to this assignment.

Liana has had minor injuries over the years, all that have healed well.

Psychological Evaluation:

Liana is more like a detective than a police officer. She greatly admires the Sherlock Holmes stories and while she is quite skilled in physical confrontations her true strength lies in settling confrontations without coming to blows or weapons fire. She has a deep respect for the medical field, due to her mother’s profession she knows just how key these individuals are in solving crime.
