Quentin "Q" Dawson

Quentin, often called simply Q, was born in Lancashire, England on July 17th, 2243, to two Starfleet officers. When he was 14 years old, his older sister, Clarissa, tragically lost her life on an away mission. His mother and father had been very proud of her for joining starfleet but after her death tried to make sure that Q never did. He ended up attending the university of Cambridge but couldn’t settle on any real degree, still wanting to see the stars. It was there that he found a love of Historic Martial Arts. He became a very skilled fencer and hand to hand combatant. After Cambridge, Q decided that he needed to start living his life for himself and enlisted in Starfleet Academy. his parents were furious and they had a big fight over it before he left. Q hadn’t spoken to his family the entire time he was the Academy. When he graduated, he believed that he’d be alone, but was surprised to see both his parents there for him. He was then assigned to the USS Igor in Security. He quickly showed great promise and within a few years was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the USS Chernov as the Chief Weapons Officer
