As a Helms Officer and a Vulcan, T’Laith is a concentrated, talented individual who consistently provides results when navigating difficult situations. She is consistently willing to put the time and effort into her work as a navigator and pilot however often finds herself overworking and not noticing. T’Laith has two other siblings each 7 and 14 years apart respectively. This has tempered her patience to become quite resolute, this is especially helpful when dealing with stressful situations or frustrating groups of people.

●● Biography ●●

⠀Early Life & Family
Although T’Laith was raised in Vulcan, she was born on the Trill homeworld to a Vulcan Ambassadorial Minister, her father, and an Academy Researcher, her mother. T’Makos had been assigned to the Ayai’leh-hirh research station to help map and run tests on the largest mountain range on Trill, a convenient placement as her father was also on the same planet acting as a Minister for the Vulcan Embassy on Trill.

Throughout her childhood she spent a lot of time on starships, regularly travelling between planets with her mother and father, accompanying them on scientific and diplomatic trips. The roar of the ships engines interested her and how they glided through space so elegantly, occasionally having the opportunity to fly them for short periods of time through safe space. This sparked her deep interest in flying and exploring the galaxy, mapping new systems and studying planets.

T’Laith’s brother and sister however were born on Vulcan, she was the eldest of the three. The middle-child and sister, T’Lovan, was learning to become a member of the Vulcan Diplomatic Community, much like their Father. While the youngest and her brother, Stryk was in the middle of his Starfleet Academy training on Earth, training to become a Science Officer. She rarely talked to her sister however frequently communicated with her brother, perhaps as they had more in common.

Sarrin & T’Laith were joined at a young age by their respective families, growing up they spent a significant amount of time together even though they weren’t in the same classes at the academy. At first glance they are usually likened as friends and not partners, they each love their individuality and are used to spending significant amounts of time apart, mainly due to their careers. Their bond, however, refuses to waver or deteriorate, little else is known of their relationship as they tend to keep the relationship to themselves.

⠀Vulcan Education
As T’Laith was taken back to Vulcan as soon as she was able to be transported, she was afforded a proper education at the Vulcan Education Centre where her situational awareness and decisiveness were noted by the lecturers. After a while she was given a list of potential career pathways including security, emergency services and most importantly, piloting.

At 16, she soon moved onto the Shi’Kahr Academy for 4 years to train in Stellar Navigation and Starship Piloting in preparation to join the Vulcan Expeditionary Force as a Navigation Officer. Soon after however she spent two years within the Vulcan Science Academy on the recommendation of her mother to study Astrology and Cartography.

⠀Vulcan Expeditionary Force
By the time T’Laith had finished her education on Vulcan, she was a fully fledged Navigator at the age of 22. She spent the next 5 years on the VEF Spyss, a Vulcan Science & Research ship, as a Junior Helms Officer. While active she usually acted as a Relief Helms Officer, working under the guide of the Senior Helms Officer. Within this role she usually flew the ship when it was quiet or she’d most likely be piloting the shuttle.

When in service, T’Laith completed and participated in 91 missions over the five years, primarily research and scientific missions however occasionally escorting, transporting and diplomatic missions.

⠀Starfleet Career
Throughout her years of service in the VEF, T’Laith grew more wanting of a more varied career as a navigator, she saw Starfleet as a prime opportunity to fuel this suppressed ambition to explore uncharted space and to map new systems. After a short while she left the VEF with an active application to Starfleet and within the month she was on the Shuttle to Earth.

T’Laith then spent the next four years on Earth at Starfleet Academy’s Sattelite Campus in London, United Kingdom. While there she studied all of the required ‘Core Courses,’ majored in ‘Flight Control’ and minored in ‘Security’ while taking modules in navigation, tactics and emergency medicine alongside. While on campus she regularly kept in touch with her brother and she made a good rapport of acquaintances in other divisions, even though they tested her patience.

She spent the first 1½ year on the core modules of the academy with the next 2½ years primarily working on Helm & Navigation modules with Security as a secondary, making her particularly useful on piloting shuttles and securing the area on arrival. This being said however, she doesn’t have the same skillset as a Security Officer and can offer only basic levels of safety.

She graduated in 2395 and was the Salutatorian of her class, therefore was awarded the privilege of choosing a posting. She was quick to choose a small vessel to begin her career and served aboard the USS Austere for two years, a ‘Sabre-Class’ light escort vessel. While aboard, she completed 23 missions; patrolled 6 systems, explored 2 new systems, escorted 7 fleets, won 4 skirmishes, hosted 3 diplomatic events and participated in 1 rescue mission.

However, in the early months of 2397, USS Austere suffered a severe warp core failure and had to be rescued for repairs by the USS Polaris. The ship was temporarily decommissioned and most of the crew was reassigned due to the time it would take to repair. Once the paperwork had gone through, T’Laith had been reassigned to the USS Dresden, a Maverick-Class Dreadnought as a Helms Officer & Navigator.
