“You can count me out and I will sit in the stands and watch like a good supporter,” she said with a grin. “I’m also pretty sure that sickbay won’t want me to participate, for my own safety, and that of others. Trust me Captain, it’s better this way,” Liadra teased.

“Of course,” Johnson said with a smile.

“Now, I do have to take on my own bridge shift shortly,” Johnson said. “Why don’t I let you finish getting settled in on Endeavour?”

“Sounds like a plan,” Liadra said with a grin as she rose to her feet. “Well, Captain, may this be one of many productive meetings. Though my expert opinion says the next one should take place in the Lounge,” she remarked with something of a smirk.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Johnson said. “You can often find me there when right after my bridge shift is over.”

Liadra gave him a wink and rose to her feet. “I’ll keep that in mind.” She gave Johnson a bow of her head. “Captain,” she said in parting before heading out of the office. She had a good sense about the man but she did want to make sure she got to know him better. It was one of those difficulties with Captains where many felt the need to be aloof. While that wasn’t a particular concern here, she wouldn’t know for sure until something happened and his openness was tested.
