She found that the Cousnelor had a lot of options to choose from and wonder if, in the future, she would ever execute any of them. “You have a long life ahead of you.. I’m sure you’ll find yourself able to get that medical degree, at some point, if you ever wanted to have it on hand.”

Liadra gave an extra wide smile to that. Indeed, it made her immensely excited to think about all the many things she could possibly do and knew she was hardly limited in those options. “What about you? If you could go and study something else today, what would you study and why?”

With a life as extensive as a Denobulan’s could be, there was no proper indication of what could be accomplished within it. To this, Eshrallias found that to be a form of opportunity, where others might view it as sad, judging by the difference in lifespans between species that the said Denobulan might work with. At her question, Vheris found herself in a state of contemplation. “Fine Arts,” She admitted, which might be surprising the some. Then again her moon did possess an art in institution, viewed as one of the best in the Federation, so perhaps it was possible. As to the reasoning behind her choice, that was a whole different story.

Liadra grinned even wider, if it were possible. “Oh! Do tell, please? I do love meeting those with an appreciation for art, whether they are skilled at it themselves or not.” she leaned forward slightly. “I’m not so much myself, but I do love taking in art, in all its forms.” She felt a genuine excitement over this revelation and felt it boded well for her and the CSO’ future interactions.

Eshrallias smiled, faintly. She was perhaps a bit astounded by the Counseor’s sudden interest in the topic. However, she couldn’t deny the pleasant nature of having another person who was an enthusiast, for art. “I would have to say, sculpting, be it clay or rock, is one of the most fascinating art mediums. The dedication and time one is willing to put into these masterpieces, which is essentially chipping away at a hard material or maneuvering clay about, is truly spectacular.” Cherie, however, was no sculptor. “However, surrealism is also quite expressive. It brings together the thoughts of the unconscious mind with vibrant colors, to portray a piece with a meaning far more deep-rooted, than some might recognize.”

Eshrallias was a creature of stoicism and stone, until she was talking about something she loved. Finding it was a good topic of conversation, she chose to ask for the Counselor’s opinion. “What of you, Miss Liadra. Do you have a certain medium you tend to prefer?”

“Performing arts,” Liadra said without hesitation. “Music, theatre, dance, you name it. I love it all and I’ve loved participating in some of it, though as I said I don’t have much talent for it. There’s something about the communal aspect that as a Denobulan feels very right for me because of our society.” Gathering in groups to share in something was a part of everyday life on Denobula, so anytime she could recreate that experience she was content.

“A good friend of mine, who works on Outpost 42, is also a huge fanatic for performing arts. Specifically theatre, as well as set design. You two would probably get along,” She chuckled, in the slightest. “That makes sense. Have you been in any specific plays, farces, musicals or skits? Or do you just have an uncanny love for them?” It was clear the Andorian was genuinely interested.
