It was wrapped in green paper with a red ribbon and bow on it. A tag showed that it was for him. “There you are. Merry Christmas Sean,” he said, handing it to him.

When it came to suspicious packages, Torias was never going to take a chance on that again. Pulling out his tricorder, he scanned the present with his security tricorder, looking for signs of explosives or weapons wrapped within the package.

“So any explosive, sir?” He trembled holding the package “I ain’t hearing your reply if after I unwrap this I blow up like an Y’lar.” Referring to a specie of an indigenous planet he found once. Its ability for self-defense was also a weapon kamikaze like. Indeed if he felt threaten, his acidic sack would start to fill with air and in no time the explosion would spread the acid all over the place. Poor Lieutenant Webber! He remembered.

“It’s not ticking,” Santa said with amusement. Scans would show that it was an electronic device of sorts with stored memory and projection systems. There was nothing inherently dangerous about it but that it was not the lightest thing and it could hurt a toe if dropped.

“Nothing dangerous about the package, at least to my scans, but I still don’t completely trust it,” Torias told the rest of the bridge. He was still keeping one eye on the mysterious santa-like figure on the bridge.
