Whether it was science or medicine, he always loved and admired both roles of scientist and doctor. Eventually he had to know a nurse as girlfriend, and the hospitals never scared him.
The next step was now a boarding physical, the most ”feared” control that every crewmen and women had to pass.
“Ah! It’ll be like stealing a popsicle to a kid!” He shouted in his mind. Unfortunately, he didn’t liked popsicles.

In front of the medbay door, Sean was like enchanted as he remembered the first time he met her girlfriend Johanna. A beautiful woman.
But he had not time to block the entrance and with swift movements he entered the bay.
A man was walking around the almost empty room and seemingly he was just checking, that the remaining patients were fine under his watch.
“Excuse me?” Tried to evade his attention on him - apparently he succeeded and the doctor was now heading toward him.

Buckingham, adorned in his lab coat, was standing next to one of the Biobeds studying a PADD closely when he heard Sean speak. Tom straitened his tall frame up, tucked the PADD under his arm and approached the stranger.

“Hello” Tom smiled.”Can I help you?”

“Oh hello sir…” stepped backward as he looked his PaDD to check a thing “sir, Buckingham. I’m Sean Knights, new CSO aboard this beautiful ship. I’m here for my boarding physical, you know, I don’t want to be ill when I work.” He winked to the doctor “also it is a pleasure to meet you and I hope I will not be as bothering as I am in this moment.” Leaned onward his hand to shake Mr. Thomas one, Sean was a bit of a mixture of what he considered noble and what he considered himself in that moment. Of course he cared of how he presented to people, but nobility was anyway in his veins and couldn’t help the sometimes weird behavior he made.

“No bother at all” Buckingham smiled as he shook Sean’s hand. “I’m Doctor Thomas Buckingham, but most just call me Tom. If you’d care to follow me this way…”
Tom led Sean to an Empty Biobed and stood beside it.
“Now then, if you wouldn’t mind taking a seat on here for me” Tom said as he patted the surface of the Bed.

Sean followed Tom and saw the Biobed: a fantastic and curious invention. “Ah! Biobeds, my girlfriend used to put all the time on one of these!” He said making everything awkward “Because… she was always worried, that what I mean.”
As he sat, he looked around and didn’t find yet much activity and asked to Tom “There’s no one, today I’m the only victim?” As he giggled.
