Torias stepped out of the turbolift and headed straight to the transporter room to greet the guests that had been reported. He entered and awaited the transport to complete and to greet whoever turned up.

Lieutenant (J.G) Torias Paron, CoS

As soon as the transporter chief noted Torias’ arrival she bent to the controls. “Energizing now, Lieutenant,” she said. She was a trim woman of middle years - not an officer but a ranking Non-Comm. While blonde her hair was short and severe, her cheekbones pronounced.

When the transporter effect stopped a man stepped down. He was human and of average height, somewhere in his 40’s with a quickly retreating hairline. Grey eyes scanned the room focusing on Torias. He wore a dark grey suit, slightly lighter trousers and white pressed shirt with a faint design to it. On the blazer was a black ceramic pin marking the silver insignia of the Magnus Corporation - a circle at the base with three curved vertical lines and a star at the end of each. In his left hand he bore a thin silver briefcase. “I am Mason Larden, lawyer and humanoid resources representative for the Magnus Corporation,” he said, introducing himself and extending his hand to Torias. “Grim business this, but we’ll get to the bottom of it.” His accent held a slight English or European tone to it.

Adrie, XO (crosspost)

“A pleasure, Lieutenant Junior Grade Torias Paron, Chief of Security aboard the USS Endeavor,” replied Torias, with a harder to place accent, his trill spots going up his left side, taking the hand offered.

Mason looked to ‘size’ up Paron. He presented a smile and a nod as they shook hands, Mason’s grip confident. By all appearances Mason had done an awful lot of meet and greets in his day.

=/\=Acknowledged, on our way now=/\= he replied. “Well, you heard the first officer, we’ll meet the rest of the departments there,” Torias smiled as he gestured for Mason to accompany him.

Mason fell in beside him and matched his pace though it was evident that he was relying on Paron to guide him to where he needed to be. “Have you been to one of our facilities before, Lt? They are quite an operation.” As they moved about the corridors, he commented. “I’ve never been on this class of ship before. It is well kept up. I hear that this is an Academy or training vessel. Does it typically do these kinds of missions? I mean, shuttling about people like me must not be terribly exciting as a training ship.”

“I can’t say I have, Mr. Larden. I have heard a little. It’s a good ship, and we want to show the cadets the good, the bad and the ugly. When a mission is not exciting, then they get a taste of what it is really like on the fleet on a day to day basis,” Paron responded, leading the way. “But it is always good to be alert,” he said with a smile
