Dominic looked at her and said”because I’m challenging myself to be better then everyone who said I won’t make it into Starfleet and I did I wouldn’t survive. I want to prove those people wrong I wanted to make it in Starfleet and I did. Now I have to survive whatever we encounter. And prove that I am capable of doing this”

Dominic scrunched up his face thinking “possibly both......I know I’m good enough......I want to be good enough. I am good enough. I will always be good enough my parents said so. And I believe them. I will prove those who think otherwise wrong.”
