Torias had a moment to himself before his first shift as the chief started, after having reported in and completed all the necessary paperwork and evaluations, he took a moment to make the quarters more homely. He had been getting used to having a roommate on his previous posting, but having been made chief of security meant he got the perk of his own personal quarters. He placed various pictures of his mother and father, as something to remember them by as they traveled through the stars.

He laid down for a few moments before reaching over and grabbing a nearby PaDD and sitting himself up.

“Computer, Begin Recording.

Personal Log, Lieutenant (Junior Grade), Torias Paron reporting,

I have arrived at my new assignment without issue, and am expected to take the chief of security position among the crew of the USS Endeavor in an hour or so. I still am surprised the academy picked me for this job. It doesn’t feel like that long ago since I stood on the deck of one of the cadet cruisers taking my final exams. But, now it’s time to pass on what I learned to the new cadets. I haven’t had a chance to introduce myself yet to them, and will be one of the first tasks I do in my new role.

My entry examinations were all cleared, I’m ready to begin getting our new cadets ready for Starfleet, and get the rundown on how things are going on the ship.

Simon put down the PaDD and a side-table, had a quick shower, and took a quick power nap, waking up with enough time to prepare him for his duty and getting some rest after the shuttle ride to the ship.
