Sharah wasn’t sure what to say to that. She knew that Joseph had reservations about Trenton and she wasn’t at liberty to say anything to him or her, what a conundrum. ‘Is she? She always speaks with a lot of passion about her position on Challenger.’ Sharah turned her head and looked out the window, not quite looking at him, ‘that would be unethical to treat myself, unless in an emergency.’ She’d meant to have someone look at it, but she’d got caught up in her research and lab work and forgot.

Rainns felt the conflicting feelings from Fayth about Trenton, and decided not to force the issue. ‘Why is it unethical for you to treat yourself?’ He asked curiously.

‘It would be very easy for a doctor to give themselves a higher dose of medication, simply because they know how much leeway is allowed. That can cause severe medical problems or addiction. Like with my alpha wave inducer. It’s complicated and in depth to configure it. If it’s set wrong it can have mild to severe side effects. If I’m tired and set it wrong for myself,’ Sharah shrugged, ‘I could not wake up for a long time. It’s important that someone else is aware that I’m using it and can monitor me if necessary. I guess it would be similar to a security officer investigating themselves.’ Sharah opened her eyes to look out at the pulsar again, ‘It’s stunning.’ She reached over to grab his other hand.

‘ I understand, that makes quite a lot of sense.’ Rainns responded. ‘I would make an excellent investigator of myself though anyone’ he thought with a smirk. As Sharah reached for his other hand he allowed her to take it. ‘Yes, it is stunning.’ He agreed.

Sharah sat up just a bit and looked at him attempting not to laugh, ‘You would think so. You’d probably do a good job of it too.’ She glanced around, saw her PaDD on the floor and picked it up. ‘Ugh…I am on duty tonight. I’ve got about an hour before I have to go.’

‘Is there anything in particular you want to do?’ Rainns asked, looking at her as she picked up her padd.

‘Hmmmm…in an hour?’ Sharah thought for a moment. There were a couple of holoprograms she had wanted to check out, but she remembered he said they made him sad. And an hour wouldn’t be long enough to experience them. ‘What about a game? If I promise not to cheat?’
