(snip)Joseph followed her into her quarters and nodded at her question, “I can do a dinner most likely, unless something comes up, but I doubt it will.”
Lt. JG. Joseph Rainns- COS
“You’re welcome to have a seat until you have to leave. Do you prefer to meet at the mess hall or elsewhere? Just know if I’m not there, you can come here and laugh at my pitiful state. ” She laid her head back against the couch eyes closed, already laughing at herself.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor“Mess hall works for me.” Rainns sat on the couch next to her. “Why would you be in a pitiful state?” he asked.
Lt. JG. Joseph Rainns- COS
She opened her eyes and looked at him to see if he was teasing her, nope, okay. “Because I’m going to that crazy parkour class tomorrow. I’m not planning on doing anything crazy, but I’m also not coordinated for things like that all. Remember, we had a conversation about this where I promised to not get sick again and told you you’d have to keep an eye on me since I’m too clumsy to be careful. Hence why I’m taking a med kit along tomorrow.” She smiled only slightly joking.
Cadet Fayth, DoctorRainns chuckled, “I wouldn’t classify breaking a leg as getting sick my dear.” He drank a bit of water from his glass, “but you are the doctor, so I guess I’ll differ to your judgement on this one. The med kit is probably a great idea though.”
Lt. JG. Joseph Rainns- COS
“I wouldn’t classify it as getting sick either. But either way it requires medical attention.” She closed her eyes again, why was she so tired all of sudden, a glance at her clock told her why, it was very late. After everything they had talked about that night she really wasn’t in the mood to end the night. ‘Offer always stands.’
She sat up before she got too relaxed and drank the ice cold water, it waking her up a bit.
Cadet Fayth, DoctorRainns could see she was tired. He finished his cup. ‘Now is not the evening I’m afraid’ he responded. He wished he could, but it wasn’t the right time in his opinion. Rainns was not an extremely traditional man, but he was always hesitant to be overly intimate overly quickly, and staying the night not in his quarters was not something he could really see himself do. “You have to work in the morning, I should probably get going soon.”
Lt. JG. Joseph Rainns- COS
She was so tired she didn’t realize how that sounded when she said it, “Oh....” turning several shades of red. “I didn’t mean…or…you know what,” she said sitting up, “I’m too tired to know what I mean, except that I really enjoy your company and hate for the evening to end.” She got up collecting the glasses. “I think, however, I had better say goodnight.”
Cadet Fayth, DoctorRainns stood up. “I agree Doc, I hope you don’t mind when I call you that by the way.” He waited for Fayth to put the glasses up before walking over and embracing her. “Goodnight Sharah.” He said.

“Not at all, I like all the things you call me,” she thought thinking over them. She stepped into the embrace, returning it. “Goodnight Joseph,” she said trying to stifle a yawn.
Cadet Fayth, Doctor
He smiled. “ Good, just wanted to make sure.” Rainns released his embrace. “Goodnight Doctor.” He said before heading towards the door.
