Evening everyone,
Just wanted to post a quick update that Kieron, our Chief of Security, has made the tough choice to step aside from the Challenger. I wish him the best of luck, and hope he makes his way back to us at some point in the future!

In the meantime, I will be starting the hunt for a new Chief of Security. I will hop in to the threads as needed to fill the role until we find someone.

OOC: Because you both brought it up here, I’ll go ahead and respond.

The Department Head positions on the Challenger are meant to be mentors to our new players, helping them get used to our site, and getting them involved in the sim. Because of that, we ideally are looking for those Department Heads to be experienced players in our group. In some cases, a very exceptional cadet may be given the role upon graduation.

At this moment, both of you are still on track towards graduation, but not quite there yet. I’ll definitely keep you in mind at graduation time if I feel like you’d be a good fit, but for now I thank you for your offer, but I am going to have to decline.
