“On me Cadet,” Walker said turning towards the master system display table. “Cap’s got us into yet another problem, so it’s of course up to the engineers to fix it for him.”
With a few gestures he brought up an outside view of the ship, with it held in place by the alien ship. “We need to get ourselves free. But how bad is it. Take a look at the ship where we’ve been grabbed, and make sure that if we get out of here that we don’t suddenly vent all of our atmosphere to space.”
“Roger that, sir.” J.C. walked over to the table, glancing it over. He’d had a chance to briefly study the basica of the Discovery class before he got to the Challenger, and again after the check-in… The damage to ships systems didn’t help with the scrambled and incomplete readings he saw, obviously, but… He could see enough to know the ship was in trouble, but at least relatively intact.
His attention was drawn to the external view as it came up, and he found himself whistling quietly. Whatever this other ship was, it was sizable to have several decks of the Challenger’s saucer held inside. All the way down to… Deck 5? J.C. stepped over to a side section of the display table, starting to run external scans.
“Aye, sir, seeing if we can manage to not crack open the saucer top like a tin can.”
(OOC: Mr. GM, I’d be looking to see if there’s any actual hull contact between Challenger and the alien ship, and if so, is it at certain areas like external hatches or is it almost like a suction cup on the saucer, please and thanks!)
Pain. Throbbing pain. The last thing Boris could remember was repairing… Something. Oh, it all felt so fuzzy. Now, all he can feel is pain. It seemed at some point, he was knocked unconscious. Checking his surroundings, it seems as though he was trapped in some sort of supply cupboard. Perhaps he was attempting to retrieve something when the most recent explosion rocked the ship like nothing he ever felt before. His training certainly didn’t prepare him for a total disaster like this! Swallowing his pride, he attempted to push on the door in order to escape. Unfortunately, no budge. Was the door blocked from the outside?
Feeling for his hat, it seemed to be missing from his head. However, his comm-badge was on the floor, which he attempted to use. Unfortunately, in the mess, he found it quite damaged and disfunctional. He was certainly in pain, but he at least didn’t feel bleeding. Panic briefly gripped the Polish engineer as he banged on the door, trying to get the attention of anyone able to help him. Getting the ship fixed was his top priority, and as such, he began to shout. If his comm was broken, he’d have to get attention the old fashioned way. “Halo? Jest tam ktoś? Potrzebuję pomocy! Jestem ranny i nie mogę się stąd wydostać! Wezwijcie pomoc!” (Translation: Hello? Is anyone there? I need help! I’m injured and I can’t get out of here! Call for help!) He cried out, banging on the door keeping him trapped in.
His hat was missing, but that was currently the least of his concerns. If it was truly lost, he’d simply replicate a new one. The old one had a lot of sentimental value, but sentiment meant nothing when lives were at stake.
Cadet Boris Levetski, engineer.
(OOC: If I saw back in previous posts, you were working in / near one of the nacelles, correct? Just trying to think of a way to ‘acknowledge your situation’… :) )

Walker looked around, “Can someone figure out where that bloody banging is coming from?!”

OOC: (Yeah, I think last we saw Boris he was trying to investigate plasma flow before I decided him getting stuck in a supply closet would be a reasonable thing to explain my hiatus. Hopefully he doesn’t get himself an emotional support bucket.)

The banging was on the edge of his periphery as he was looking over the sensor data… But the Chief’s attention became J.C.’s own attention.
Something about the banging didn’t sound right.
He found himself glancing around, trying to track down the source. And then…
“Sir,” he said with some hesitance, “That almost sounds like… An open comms channel from somewhere.” J.C. glanced at the Chief. “But like… Further off. Like the source of the banging is a ways off from the comm badge or panel…”
