Walker came running into Main Engineering and let out a curse at the mess he saw.“Where is Lt Embers?” he asked one of the ensigns who was looking a bit panicked.
“Sickbay sir. There was an explosion, and he, he, he…”
Walker let out a sigh and patted the Ensign on the shoulder. “I’ve got it son. Step out and grab a quick drink. We’ve got a mess to fix here.”
Pushing up his sleeves, it looked like it was once again up time to clean up the mess the officers had left.
“Alright, listen up folks,” Walker said raising his voice to be heard over the chaos. “It’s time to start behaving like Starfleet. Right now we need to get a handle on what is going on with the ship. You,” he said pointing to a nearby cadet, “I need an update on the warp core. You, hull integrity. You, shields, and you phasers. You, impulse control. And you, life support. Let’s go people. Let’s get to work!”

One moment, Cadet Swishman was a few feet up a Jefferies Tube adjacent to Main Engineering, working on rerouting one of the EPS conduits to try to get some additional power back into the mains.
The next moment, the whole ship rocked like it was a leaf in the wind. And the cadet didn’t so much soar out of the tube… But awkwardly caught a rung or two of the ladder on the way down as he was unceremoniously planted on his posterior on the deck. J.C. winced lightly after a stunned moment, taking a quick inventory; the rung would probably leave a bruise on his shoulder, and his pride might be more hurt than his rear. But it wasn’t bad enough to shake off for the moment.
J.C. got to his feet, glancing around. Main Engineering seemed no less chaotic and no more busted up than before. This real, hectic, and (somewhere deep down) frightening situation made the ol’ Kobayashi Maru look and feel like a kid’s bedtime story. And he should know; between several of his fellow cadets and his own couple experiences, the Maru script was practically seared into his brain.
But he didn’t have time for much hesitation. The ship and crew needed him. The biggest thing J.C. had noticed in his new observation of Main Engineering was that someone seemed to be trying to lead the charge. A C.W.O. it seemed like, from the rank? Didn’t matter. He made his way over, only vaguely hoping that the Chief hadn’t notice his re-entry into Engineering before.
“Sir,” he spoke calmly over the din as he reported in, his Irish accent faint in the stress and clamor. “I managed to bodge some repairs to pull power back into the mains, but if we’re going to have more bumps like…” J.C. motioned vaguely to… Everywhere. “… whatever that was before, I can’t promise it’ll last too long. But something tells me we have bigger problems, so.” He looked around as various cadets managed to respond to the Chief’s call-outs with various levels of efficiency.
“Where do you need me most?”

“On me Cadet,” Walker said turning towards the master system display table. “Cap’s got us into yet another problem, so it’s of course up to the engineers to fix it for him.”
With a few gestures he brought up an outside view of the ship, with it held in place by the alien ship. “We need to get ourselves free. But how bad is it. Take a look at the ship where we’ve been grabbed, and make sure that if we get out of here that we don’t suddenly vent all of our atmosphere to space.”
Pain. Throbbing pain. The last thing Boris could remember was repairing… Something. Oh, it all felt so fuzzy. Now, all he can feel is pain. It seemed at some point, he was knocked unconscious. Checking his surroundings, it seems as though he was trapped in some sort of supply cupboard. Perhaps he was attempting to retrieve something when the most recent explosion rocked the ship like nothing he ever felt before. His training certainly didn’t prepare him for a total disaster like this! Swallowing his pride, he attempted to push on the door in order to escape. Unfortunately, no budge. Was the door blocked from the outside?
Feeling for his hat, it seemed to be missing from his head. However, his comm-badge was on the floor, which he attempted to use. Unfortunately, in the mess, he found it quite damaged and disfunctional. He was certainly in pain, but he at least didn’t feel bleeding. Panic briefly gripped the Polish engineer as he banged on the door, trying to get the attention of anyone able to help him. Getting the ship fixed was his top priority, and as such, he began to shout. If his comm was broken, he’d have to get attention the old fashioned way. “Halo? Jest tam ktoś? Potrzebuję pomocy! Jestem ranny i nie mogę się stąd wydostać! Wezwijcie pomoc!” (Translation: Hello? Is anyone there? I need help! I’m injured and I can’t get out of here! Call for help!) He cried out, banging on the door keeping him trapped in.
His hat was missing, but that was currently the least of his concerns. If it was truly lost, he’d simply replicate a new one. The old one had a lot of sentimental value, but sentiment meant nothing when lives were at stake.
Cadet Boris Levetski, engineer.
(OOC: If I saw back in previous posts, you were working in / near one of the nacelles, correct? Just trying to think of a way to ‘acknowledge your situation’… :) )

Walker looked around, “Can someone figure out where that bloody banging is coming from?!”
