Walker came running into Main Engineering and let out a curse at the mess he saw.

“Where is Lt Embers?” he asked one of the ensigns who was looking a bit panicked.

“Sickbay sir. There was an explosion, and he, he, he…”

Walker let out a sigh and patted the Ensign on the shoulder. “I’ve got it son. Step out and grab a quick drink. We’ve got a mess to fix here.”

Pushing up his sleeves, it looked like it was once again up time to clean up the mess the officers had left.

“Alright, listen up folks,” Walker said raising his voice to be heard over the chaos. “It’s time to start behaving like Starfleet. Right now we need to get a handle on what is going on with the ship. You,” he said pointing to a nearby cadet, “I need an update on the warp core. You, hull integrity. You, shields, and you phasers. You, impulse control. And you, life support. Let’s go people. Let’s get to work!”
